Music and Memories is a collection of essays about the many songs that have had an impact on my life. These songs created my viewpoint and wove the very fabric of my life.
A Year in Days I rented a studio for eight years where I went to write and watch the water. I wrote descriptions of every day often with a philosophical bent. Upon reading the entries from a particular day, I marvel at how the mood of the sky, light, and cloud is remarkably similar over the years regardless how various each year’s weather and climate seemed.
Traveling I have had the great fortune of traveling far and wide. Paris called me from a very early age because of Caillebotte’s painting “Paris on a Rainy Day” and Bobby Short singing Cole Porter’s “You Don’t Know Paree”. I have since made it my own. But so many places have inspired notebooks full of memories and observations.
Published Opinions I have had 4 letters published in the Chicago Sun-Times, along with pieces published with the International Chamber Artists.
City Life New York City and Chicago have been my homes for all my adult life. I am inspired and fed by the urban landscape.
